Guess Club

(quoted from „emerging architecture I”, Otto Kapfinger, 2000)

The two-storied radical opening of a 19th century corner beside an old flight of stairs. Due to sliding glass walls, the bar radiates towards the city like a stage setting and, vice versa, the outer staircase appears like a striking scenery to the inside. The upper floors underpinned by 40 t steel supports: the weight is absorbed by four reinforced concrete pillars. Dark artificial stone floors, glass and medial walls in all variations, Internet-counter, precise lighting control.
