Ambulance Station
Carefully, differentiated alterations to adapt a Founding Epoch building to the requirements of a modern ambulance station. Subtle treatment of the building fabric through minimal, but targeted, interventions.
Through the insertion of an open, central stairwell all spaces become generously inter-connected and a continuation of the public space. A multi-layered, internal organisation prepares for multiple and varied construction phases, and enables the user to spatially respond to future changes in requirements.
