Housing Development Am Goldberg - Vienna

As a continuation of the plot structure and street pattern of the surrounding urban grid a modular plot structure, with hierarchical circulation routes, was developed. Car access to each unit is possible, if necessary, as well as the option of a parking space on each property. Pedestrian paths are accentuated and integrated into the overall transport concept.
Existing vegetation is carefully integrated into the structure of the new development, and surface run off feeds into a pond habitat via cascading waterways.

Flowing transition spaces ensure the living units are closely linked with their respective outdoor space. The south-west and south-east orientation of the volumes maximises sunshine in the private gardens. Secluded private outdoor spaces create both an acoustic and visual protection of residents’ privacy.
