The boundary walls, necessary for security reasons, are arranged in harmony with the existing streetscape; different entrance situations are clearly accentuated. The overall concept also encompasses the outdoor spaces creating a high-quality series of spaces and circulation routes. The building serves as a symbol of Austrian-European building culture.

A clear and functional arrangement makes for concise circulation routes and effortless orientation within the building. The location and design of the conference area allows for a mixture of uses, and offers a high-quality environment for cultural events.
