Kagran Centre - Vienna
As outlined in the urban development plan, the region around the metro station of the Donaucentre in Kagran is the target area for a new major centre in Vienna.
Four sites are to form the future backbone of this centre. They each have different characteristics and are have urban design parameters applied to them accordingly. As a result, the overall area appears as a heterogeneous zone, for which development proposals are to be explored.
The design proposal does not have as its aim the premature unification of these different sites, but foremost that the specific qualities of each of the sites should be strengthened. This is the starting point for positively influencing the urban development of the in-between spaces.
