Zoom Children's Museum (Museumsquartier) - Vienna

The design of the entrance area in the children’s museum of the Museumsquartier spans over two floors.
On the 1st level you can find the tills, a flexible computer terminal, a flexible presentation zone, an info-zone, an “audio” installation container, a cloakroom, the lockers, the children’s cloakroom (container), and a push chair parking area.
There are a number of possible ways to reach the upper level: a “children’s stair”, a “children’s ladder”, and the stair to the reference library.
The 2nd level offers space for a permanent installation, a seating area, the reference library, a stage, the connecting bridge, and a “drawbridge” as a temporary connection.

The foyer functions as a billboard for Zoom, offers a clear overview of the museum, and is developed as an accessible, comprehendible structure that can be filled with activities. It is flexible both in terms of use and combinations of spaces, and responds to the dynamic curiosity of the user.
